No Dogs. Stepping out of my norm. But it’s worth it.

We hiked this beautiful trail in January 2023. It is an easy walk, with only a slight roll in topography. Footing is mostly excellent.

The preserve is a monument to members of the Wales family. You can continue through the Nature Conservancy land onto the Wolf Creek hunting preserve.

This trail travels along the Gridley River. I wholly recommend you do it when the water table is high, as you shall see, even in the winter.

Along the way, there are spectacular trees. Best was in the Wolf preserve where there are many healthy hemlock and spruce.

I believe there might be porcupines nearby.

Crossing the bridge is the end of Nature Conservancy and the beginning of the Wolf Creek hunting club.

The trail travels close to a controlled cutting, and along a ridge above the river

The trees here are spectacular.

The spruce are incredibly healthy.
We turned back here due to time constraints. Further exploration to come. Should come out on Rte. 202 in Peterborough.
This is a slight climb, shall be blocked later. Battery too low this trip.

And, as always, my photo dump.
