Sauntering down a woodland trail, with my dogs, Ruby, Rusty, and Smoke, we came to an almost impassable newish beaver dam.

We paused, as there were bubbles in the shallow stream. It had not been dammed long enough to be a full pond.

Those white blobs are bubbles.

Even the dogs knew it was a time to be still and quiet. We waited.

A little guy/girl.

What a delight to see. It pays to pause.
