I don’t hike as much during the summer. Work as a Park Ranger and a horse show judge and steward do not allow a lot of free time.
Also, the views get leafed in, so not as much to photograph.
I do kayak. Often with my kayak buddie #Nottadog.

There is a lovely pond nearby that is great when I don’t have a lot of time. The other day, during the heat wave, I plopped in and added an explore up the river at the Southern end. Magical.
I saw an Eagle, a kingfisher, lots of fish, a few other kayakers, and a muskrat dome.

There were a couple of shelters along the shore. I do not believe there are trails, so not sure of their purpose, but if a storm brewed, I am sure I would be grateful they were there.

The river is where I saw the Eagle, the Kingfisher, and the most fish. Sadly, no turtles or ducks.

This pond is popular, so I am keeping it under wraps. But get out and paddle!
